"Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Whatsoever ye ask the Father in my name it shall be given unto you, that is expedient for you;
D&C 88:63-64
Live so that God may open the windows of heaven and shower down His blessings upon you. Pray to Him. Pray for direction in your lives. Let Him lead you and guide you and help you with the decisions you have to make. Live close to Him. Live graciously one with another."

Stand a Little Taller - Gordon B. Hinckley
"And they shall also be crowned with blessings from above, yea, and with commandments not a few, and with revelations in their time - they that are faithful and diligent before me.
D&C 59:4
Undergirding Church history were revelations received and recorded by Joseph Smith. He protected and preserved them. Explicitly, he followed instructions received in them... The importance and relevance of these revelations lies in the fact that the heavens are open. It is in the fact that God lives, that His Beloved Son Jesus is the living Christ, and that they direct the affairs of His Church by revelation to living prophets
This access to revelation is not limited to presidents, prophets, and apostles. All of God's children are invited to receive personal revelation.
Joseph Smith became great because of revelation. Without revelation, Joseph would merely have been just Joseph. Gratefully, we, too, can become greater than we otherwise would be - by receiving and responding to personal revelation."
