"And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!
D&C 18:15
We are becoming a great global society. But our interest and concern must always be with the individual. Every member of this church is an individual man or woman, boy or girl. Our great responsibility is to see that each is remembered and nourished by the good word of God. The organization can grow and multiply in numbers, as it surely will. But with all of this growth we must continue to nurture individuals. Jesus was the true shepherd who reached out to those in distress, one at a time, bestowing an individual blessing on each one. We must do the same."

"He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without wall.
Proverbs 25:28
We can change our behavior. Our very desires can change. How? There is only one way. True change - Permanent change - can come only through the healing, cleansing, and enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He loves You -each of you! He allows you to access His power as you keep His commandments, eagerly, earnestly, and exactly. It is that simple and certain, The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of change!
A strong human spirit with control over appetites of the flesh is master over emotions and passions and not a slave to them. That kind of freedom is as vital to the spirit as oxygen is to the body! Freedom from self - slavery is true liberation."
