"Think of your brethren like unto yourselves, and be familiar with all and free with your substance, that they may be rich like unto you.
Jacob 2:17
Where there is poverty among our people, we must do all we can to help them to lift themselves, to establish their lives upon a foundation of self-reliance that can come of training. Education is the key to opportunity. It is our solemn obligation, it is our certain responsibility to help others become self-reliant and successful. I believe the Lord does not wish to see His people condemned to live in poverty. I believe He would have the faithful enjoy the good things of the earth. He would have us do all we can to help one another toward this end. And He will bless us as we do so."

Stand a Little Taller - Gordon B. Hinckley
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be empted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13
Each of us is far from perfect, both spiritually and temporally. Reminders come repeatedly. We may lock keys inside the car. or even forget where the car is parked, And not infrequently we walk intently from one part of the house to another, only to forget the reason for the errand.
When comparing one's personal performance with the supreme standard of the Lord's expectation, the reality of imperfection can at times be depressing. My heart goes out to conscientious Saints who, because of their shortcomings, allow feelings of depression to rob them of happiness in life
We all need to remember: men are that they might have joy -not guilt trips! We also need to remember that the Lord gives no commandments that are impossible to obey. But sometimes we fail to comprehend them fully."
