"We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may Articles of Faith 11 We recognize the good that every other church in the world does. We have no quarrel with other churches. We do not argue, we do not debate, or anything of the kind. We simply say to people not of our faith, "You bring with you all the truth that you have, and let us see if we can add to it." That is the mission and message of this church."

Stand a Little Taller - Gordon B. Hinckley
"If thou turn away ... from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord. Isaiah 58:13-14 Not pursuing your "own pleasure" on the Sabbath requires self-discipline (see Isaiah 58:13). You may have to deny yourself of something you might like. If you choose to delight yourself in The Lord, you will not permit yourself to treat it as any other day. Routine and recreational activities can be done some other time. Think of this: In paying tithing, we return one tenth of our increase to the Lord. In keeping the Sabbath holy, we reserve once day in seven as His. So it is our privilege to consecrate both money and time to Him who lend us life each day. Faith in God engenders a love for the Sabbath: faith in the Sabbath engenders a love for God. A sacred Sabbath truly is a delight."
